## When to Use
Apply this skill when you encounter arXiv papers that:
- Take an established ML method (transformer, reinforcement learning, diffusion, etc.) and apply it to a new domain
- Address real-world deployment challenges or domain-specific constraints
- Cross disciplinary boundaries (e.g., vision model applied to robotics, NLP technique applied to biology)
- Describe adaptation or modification of existing techniques to fit problem requirements
- Include lessons learned from deploying research to production

Examples: AlphaFold applying attention to protein structure, quadrupedal locomotion adapting RL to embodied agents, BLIP adapting vision-language models to multimodal tasks.

## When NOT to Use
Do not use this skill for:
- Pure methodological papers (novel architectures or algorithms without domain application)
- Purely exploratory papers (analyzing what works without solving a specific domain problem)
- Survey or review papers
- Papers that only benchmark existing methods
- Papers without clear domain-specific adaptation or constraints

## Extraction Template

### Step 1: Identify the Domain Problem
Extract what real-world or domain-specific problem the paper solves and why it matters.

## Processing Instructions

1. **Obtain the paper:** Fetch HTML from arxiv.org/html/{arxiv_id}, fallback to PDF
2. **Identify domain:** Extract the problem domain from abstract and introduction
3. **Find the source method:** Locate which existing technique is being adapted
4. **Map adaptations:** For each modification, determine what domain constraint required it
5. **Synthesize recipe:** Generalize the adaptation pattern to teach domain transfer
6. **Validate:** Confirm the paper contains real domain-specific adaptation (not just application)
7. **Generate skill:** Write output skill following the format above
