# Drive spec-first coding workflows with task boards, worktrees, and agent handoffs using Spec Kitty

Move from spec to plan to tasks to review through one repo-native workflow when larger AI coding efforts need tighter coordination.

## Prerequisites

Python environment, spec-kitty-cli, git, a repository under active development, and access to one of the supported AI coding agents

## Installation

Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:
- pipx install spec-kitty-cli
- pipx is the preferred installer for the CLI because it keeps Spec Kitty in its
- uv tool install spec-kitty-cli
- python -m pip install spec-kitty-cli

Requirements and caveats from upstream:
