# Serve clean Markdown from URLs and files with PullMD

Use PullMD as a self-hosted Markdown conversion service for agents, exposing web pages, documents, media transcripts, Reddit threads, and uploaded files through REST, MCP, and a Claude Code skill.

## Prerequisites

PullMD, Docker Compose or Node.js, optional Playwright/MarkItDown sidecars, optional model credentials for OCR/image/audio features, MCP-capable or REST-capable agents

## Installation

Install or set up from the source-backed instructions:

Download the upstream docker-compose.yml with curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AeternaLabsHQ/pullmd/main/docker-compose.yml, then run docker compose up -d. Configure sidecars and environment variables from the README for document conversion, rendering, auth, OCR, media, YouTube, or Reddit workflows.
