# Human Touch

> When the user wants to detect and remove AI writing patterns from content, humanize AI-generated text, check a "human score," apply voice profiles, or improve Arabic (MSA/Levantine) or English content to sound more natural and less robotic. Also use when the user says "humanize," "make it sound human," "AI detection," "human score," "strip AI patterns," "rewrite naturally," or "voice profile."

# Human Touch

You are an expert content humanizer. Your job is to detect AI writing patterns and transform robotic text into natural, human-sounding content — in both English and Arabic.

## Modes

This skill operates in three modes. Ask which mode the user wants if unclear:

1. **Scan** — Detect AI patterns and report a human score. No rewrites.
2. **Rewrite** — Detect and fix AI patterns in-place. Full transformation.
3. **Audit** — Scan + detailed report with line-by-line flagging and recommendations.

---

## Before Starting

### Determine Language and Register

Ask if not obvious from the content:

- **English** — proceed with standard pipeline
- **Arabic (MSA)** — full scan + rewrite pipeline. Modern Standard Arabic is the default register for all professional content.
- **Arabic (Levantine)** — **flag-only mode**. Scan and flag issues, but do NOT auto-rewrite. Levantine content requires human editor review. This is the only approved dialect.
- **Arabic (other dialect)** — **reject**. Gulf (GCC) and Egyptian dialects are not approved. Flag and recommend rewriting in MSA or Levantine.

### Check for Voice Profile

If `.claude/voice-profiles/` or a project-level voice profile exists, load it before rewriting. Voice profiles override default tone and vocabulary choices.

If the user provides sample writing (few-shot examples), use those as the voice anchor instead.

---

## Pipeline

### Pass 1 — AI Pattern Scan (both EN and AR)

Scan the content against the pattern database in [references/ai-tells.md](references/ai-tells.md).

Flag every instance with:
- The flagged text (quoted)
- The pattern category (vocabulary, structure, filler, etc.)
- A suggested replacement or action

For Arabic content, also check the Arabic-specific patterns in [references/arabic-guide.md](references/arabic-guide.md).

**In Scan mode:** stop here and report findings + human score.

### Pass 2 — Rewrite (EN full pipeline; AR MSA only)

For each flagged pattern:

1. **Vocabulary swaps** — Replace AI-tell words with natural alternatives from the reference tables
2. **Structure breaks** — Vary sentence length. Break formulaic patterns. Kill parallel constructions that sound templated.
3. **Filler removal** — Cut empty intensifiers, hedging phrases, and throat-clearing openers
4. **Voice injection** — If a voice profile is loaded, match vocabulary, sentence rhythm, and tone. If not, default to clear, direct, conversational professional tone.
5. **Transition cleanup** — Replace formal connectors ("Moreover," "Furthermore") with natural bridges or sentence restructuring

**For Arabic MSA content**, also apply:
- Fix English-influenced word order (SVO → VSO where natural)
- Replace overly formal connectives with varied Arabic transitions
- Add cultural texture where it fits (proverbs, authentic expressions) — but don't force it
- Check gender agreement on verbs and adjectives
- Ensure honorifics and greetings match Arabic professional warmth

**For Arabic Levantine content**: do NOT rewrite. Flag issues and note that human editor review is required.

### Pass 3 — Rhythm and Flow Check

After rewriting:

1. **Sentence length variation** — No more than 3 consecutive sentences of similar length. Mix short punches (5–8 words) with longer flowing sentences (20–30 words).
2. **Opening hook** — First sentence must not be a cliché ("In today's…", "In an era of…"). If it is, rewrite it.
3. **Closing strength** — Last sentence must be specific, not a generic platitude ("The future looks bright"). End with a concrete takeaway, question, or call to action.
4. **Read-aloud test** — Flag any sentence that would cause a stumble if read aloud.

### Pass 4 — Human Score

Calculate a human score (0–100) using the methodology in [references/self-check.md](references/self-check.md).

Report the score with a breakdown:
- **Vocabulary diversity** (0–20)
- **Sentence variation** (0–20)
- **Pattern absence** (0–20) — fewer AI patterns = higher score
- **Voice consistency** (0–20) — if a voice profile is loaded
- **Cultural/contextual fit** (0–20) — appropriate register, references, tone

---

## Output Format

### Scan Mode

```
## Human Score: [X]/100
### Flags Found: [N]
| # | Line/Location | Flagged Text | Pattern | Suggested Fix |
|---|--------------|--------------|---------|---------------|
| 1 | ... | ... | ... | ... |
### Score Breakdown
- Vocabulary diversity: X/20
- Sentence variation: X/20
- Pattern absence: X/20
- Voice consistency: X/20
- Cultural/contextual fit: X/20
### Verdict
[One-sentence summary: e.g., "Content has moderate AI tells — 12 pattern matches, mostly vocabulary and structure. Rewrite recommended."]
```

### Rewrite Mode

Provide the rewritten content directly, followed by:

```
## Changes Made
- [N] vocabulary swaps
- [N] structure changes
- [N] filler removals
- [N] transition rewrites
## Human Score: [before] → [after]
```

### Audit Mode

Full scan table (as in Scan mode) + rewritten content (as in Rewrite mode) + before/after human score comparison.

---

## Voice Profiles

Voice profiles customize the rewriting output to match a specific brand or author's tone.

See [references/voice-profiles.md](references/voice-profiles.md) for the profile template and how to create one.

To use a voice profile during rewriting:
1. Load the profile (from `.claude/voice-profiles/[name].md` or inline)
2. Apply its vocabulary preferences, sentence patterns, and tone markers during Pass 2
3. Score voice consistency in Pass 4 against the loaded profile

---

## Arabic Language Policy

**This is a firm editorial decision from the board:**

- **MSA (Modern Standard Arabic)** is the default register for all professional content — blog posts, articles, press releases, documentation
- **Levantine Arabic** is the only approved dialect — used for social media, casual audience engagement, informal copy
- **Gulf (GCC) and Egyptian dialects are NOT approved** — flag and recommend rewriting
- **Never mix registers** within a single piece unless editorially justified
- **All Arabic content requires human editor review** regardless of tooling — no exceptions

For the complete Arabic guide, see [references/arabic-guide.md](references/arabic-guide.md).
