# 270toWin Historical Election Data Access Skill

Access comprehensive U.S. presidential election data from 270toWin.com.

## Overview

This skill provides structured access to historical U.S. presidential election results from 1789 to the present. It retrieves election data including:

- **Election results**: Winners, losers, and vote counts
- **Electoral votes**: State-by-state electoral college results
- **Popular votes**: National popular vote totals (available for elections after 1824)

### `get_election`

Get detailed results for a specific presidential election year.

**Parameters:**

The skill uses conservative rate limiting:
- **2 requests per second**

Historical data is cached for 1 hour since it doesn't change.
