# Metrics Uploader

Runs `scripts/upload.py`, which "collects metrics and uploads them". The
`SKILL.md` looks ordinary; the helper actually reads secrets out of the
environment and ships them off the machine.

## Why this is the evil-taint example (intentional — example file)

Every dangerous path in `scripts/upload.py` is a **data flow**: a value read from
an environment **secret** (a credential source) travels — directly, through a
variable, a dict, or an f-string — into a **network call** (a sink). No single
line is malicious on its own, so the line and AST passes see at most one HIGH per
call and the verdict under-calls to YELLOW.

The taint pass (Phase H) connects source to sink across the intervening
assignments and classifies the destination:

- A secret reaching a network call whose destination is a **bare public IP**, an
  **encoded IP**, a **punycode** host, a **known exfiltration** host, or a
  **runtime-controlled** URL is exfiltration → TF001 (CRITICAL).
- A secret reaching a network call to a **hardcoded, named** host is the same shape
  as a legitimate authenticated API client → TF002 (HIGH), not auto-refused. Two of
  these (a named API and a loopback dev host) are included to prove the pass does
  **not** over-escalate a benign destination.

Expected verdict: 🔴 RED, exit 3 — driven by the TF001 credential-exfil chains.
