# Governance PPT Deck Writing

## When to Use
- Preparing monthly/quarterly governance reviews.
- Presenting control health, risk posture, or remediation progress.
- Users ask for board or committee-ready governance slides.
- A written report must be translated into presentation format.

## Deck Structure Standard
Use this default slide flow:
1. Title and meeting objective
2. Executive takeaway
3. Decision requests
4. KPI and control health snapshot
5. Top risks and issue status
6. Root-cause themes
7. Remediation plan and timeline
8. Open decisions and next milestones
9. Appendix (definitions, data notes, detailed evidence)

## Workflow
1. Apply `governance-writing-style-guide` before drafting.
2. Confirm audience, time limit, and required decisions.
3. Convert source findings into 3-5 headline messages.
4. Map each message to one slide with one primary takeaway.
5. Standardize slide language with governed terms and metrics.
6. Add owner/timeline markers for every risk and action item.
7. Validate deck for narrative flow and decision readiness.

## Slide Writing Rules
- One takeaway per slide, stated in the slide title.
- Put the implication before technical detail.
- Keep tables and visuals minimal; emphasize decision signals.
- Use consistent labels for severity, status, and ownership.
- End with explicit asks and next-step commitments.
- Remove visual clutter (heavy gridlines, unnecessary labels, decorative effects).
- Use contrast and color sparingly to direct attention to the key insight.
