# Manuscript Drafter

Generate a complete book manuscript one section at a time, following Sean Dollwet's 4-step safe publishing workflow. Each section targets 1,250 words, designed to stay within AI context window limits while maintaining quality. Includes the anti-AI detection checklist that separates publishable content from flaggable output.

## Workflow

### Step 1: Generate One Section at a Time

Target specifications:
- **Total manuscript:** ~30,000 words (120-150 pages)
- **Per chapter:** ~3,750 words
- **Per section:** ~1,250 words

**Section generation prompt:**

**Why section-by-section?** The context window problem:

> "Context window is essentially how much AI remembers what it wrote in the past... this is right now the biggest issue when it comes to writing a book with AI because when it comes to shorter outputs it's very easy... but longer outputs when it comes to writing the entire book, 100 page, 200 page content, it becomes tricky because it becomes very repetitive and surface level."

AI output quality degrades around 2,000-3,000 words in a single generation. The 1,250-word target stays safely below this threshold.

### Step 2: Heavy Editing (Non-Negotiable)

**Editing checklist for every section:**

- [ ] Fact-check every claim, statistic, and reference
- [ ] Replace AI-generated anecdotes with personal stories or verified real-world examples
- [ ] Cut fluff and surface-level generalizations
- [ ] Rewrite sections that read flat or generic
- [ ] Add personal voice, opinions, and lived experience
- [ ] Use iterative prompts to improve weak passages ("Rewrite this to be more [specific/persuasive/practical]")

**What separates a 3-star book from a 5-star book:**

AI gives you the information layer. You supply the human layer.

### Step 3: AI Detection Check

Sean tested 5 methods for making AI content undetectable. Results:

**No shortcut beats manual rewriting.** Every other method failed completely.

### Step 4: Plagiarism Check

Run every section through:
1. **Grammarly Premium** plagiarism checker, OR
2. **Originality.ai** for combined AI + plagiarism detection

If outsourcing, also run the encoding detection check (see Chapter 5) -- invisible characters between letters can fool standard plagiarism tools.

This is spread across multiple sessions. A realistic timeline for a complete manuscript: 2-4 weeks working 1-2 hours per day.
