# GoReleaser 2.10

This overview applies to target GoReleaser versions of at least `2.10`.

- `homebrew_casks` models Homebrew's supported installation mechanism for pre-built binaries, including conflicts, manpages, completions, and post-install handling.
- The legacy `brews` section becomes deprecated for pre-built binary distribution; its supported replacement is `homebrew_casks`, with most configurations beginning as a section rename followed by schema-guided field migration.
- Projects that do not sign and notarise macOS binaries may need a Cask post-install hook to remove the quarantine attribute.
- The experimental MCP server exposes GoReleaser assistance to MCP clients.
- Pro-only release workflows add NPM and DockerHub publishing refinements.
