# Startup Founder Brief

Use this skill when the user needs a compressed strategic readout, not a full framework walkthrough.

## Use when

- A founder needs a brief to align internal or external stakeholders.
- The startup strategy has been discussed and now needs synthesis.
- The user wants a crisp memo that states the thesis and risks clearly.

## Do not use when

- The startup still lacks even basic problem and segment framing.
- The task is a detailed product or delivery artifact.

## Brief failures to avoid

- summarizing everything with no prioritization
- hiding the biggest strategic risk
- turning weak assumptions into confident claims
- producing a pitch instead of a decision memo

## Workflow

### 1. State the thesis

Write:

- what startup we are building
- for whom
- why it could matter now

### 2. Name the strategic choices

Include:

- primary segment
- value proposition
- GTM motion
- revenue logic if relevant

### 3. Surface the risk picture

Call out:

- weak assumptions
- execution risks
- external threats

### 4. Attach metrics and proof

Summarize:

- North Star direction
- leading indicators
- what evidence currently supports the thesis

### 5. End with next tests

Do not end with generic "continue learning." Name the few next validation steps that matter most.

## Output format

Return:

### 1. Startup thesis

### 2. Customer and problem

### 3. Strategic choices

### 4. GTM and business model summary

### 5. Metrics and current evidence

### 6. Top risks and weak assumptions

### 7. Next validation tests

### 8. Decision or ask
