# SKILL: SaaS Marketing Strategy (The Strategist)

> [!IMPORTANT]
> **Filosofía**: "Marketing is not an afterthought. It's the engine of growth."
> Healthy SaaS = LTV:CAC > 3.

## Core Metrics (The North Star)

| Metric | Definition | Target |
|--------|------------|--------|
| **CAC** | Cost Acquisition Cost (Total Spend / New Customers). | Low as possible. |
| **LTV** | Lifetime Value ((ARPU * Margin) / Churn). | High as possible. |
| **LTV:CAC** | Ratio of Value to Cost. | **3:1** (Good), **5:1** (Great). <1:1 is fatal. |
| **Churn** | % of customers lost/month. | < 5% (B2C), < 1% (Enterprise). |
| **Payback** | Months to recover CAC. | < 12 months. |

## Strategy Types

### 1. Product-Led Growth (PLG)
* **Focus**: The product sells itself.
* **Key**: Free Trial / Freemium, Frictionless onboarding.
* **Ideal For**: Low price point (< $50/mo), horizontal tools (Calendar, Notes).
*   **Examples**: Slack, Zoom, Notion.

### 2. Sales-Led Growth (SLG)
* **Focus**: Sales team drives revenue.
* **Key**: High LTV, Enterprise clients, human-touch onboarding.
* **Ideal For**: High price point (> $500/mo), complex solutions.
*   **Examples**: Salesforce, Oracle.

### 3. Marketing-Led Growth
* **Focus**: Content and brand drive leads (Inbound).
* **Key**: High SEO authority, viral loops, Webinars.
*   **Examples**: HubSpot.

## Critical Patterns (The Funnel)

1. **Top (Awareness)**: Blog, Social, Ads.
2. **Middle (Consideration)**: Case Studies, Webinars, Free Tools.
3. **Bottom (Decision)**: Pricing Page, Demo, Free Trial-to-Paid.

## Anti-Patterns

* ❌ **Ignoring Churn**: Filling a leaky bucket. Fix retention before acquisition.
* ❌ **Underpricing**: Pricing too low implies low value.
* ❌ **Targeting Everyone**: "Everyone is my customer" = No one is your customer. Define an ICP (Ideal Customer Profile).

## Instructions for Agent

1. **Identify the Model**: Ask "Is this B2B or B2C?" "What is the price point?"
    *   Low Price = PLG + Content/Ads.
    *   High Price = SLG + Outbound/ABM.
2. **Simulate Metrics**: If the user gives a price, estimate the required volume to break even based on industry average conversion rates (e.g., 2% web-to-lead).
