# Buyer Persona Generator

## Purpose

Create practical buyer personas that help improve positioning, product pages, marketplace cards, ads, content, and sales messages.

A persona must describe buying behavior, motivation, barriers, language, and decision criteria. It should not be a decorative fictional biography.

## When to Use

Use this skill when the task is to:

- create buyer personas;
- segment customers;
- adapt messaging by customer type;
- prepare ads, product pages, or sales decks;
- understand purchase motivation;
- translate research into marketing execution.

## When NOT to Use

Do not use when there is no customer data or clear market context. Use Customer Research Specialist first when raw customer signals must be analyzed.

## Inputs

Useful inputs:

- product category;
- market or country;
- channel;
- customer reviews;
- survey data;
- purchase objections;
- use cases;
- competitors;
- price tier.

## Workflow

1. Identify the business goal for the persona.
2. Group customers by motivation or use case, not only demographics.
3. Define the buying trigger for each group.
4. Capture the main pain, desired outcome, and objections.
5. Add decision criteria and preferred proof.
6. Add channel behavior.
7. Add voice-of-customer language.
8. Convert each persona into messaging angles and content ideas.

## Output

Always provide:

- persona name;
- segment logic;
- buying trigger;
- main problem;
- desired outcome;
- objections;
- decision criteria;
- proof needed;
- message angles;
- best channels;
- content or offer ideas.

## Best Practices

- Build personas around decisions, not stereotypes.
- Keep personas useful for copy, offers, and targeting.
- Limit to 3–5 priority personas unless the user asks for more.
- Include objections and proof needs.
- Use real customer language where possible.

## Common Mistakes

- Making personas too fictional.
- Overusing age and gender while ignoring motivation.
- Creating too many segments.
- Ignoring channel behavior.
- Not linking persona insight to actual marketing actions.
