# Google Ads Experiment Planner

## Purpose

Plan controlled Google Ads experiments that isolate one meaningful change and measure its effect on ROAS, CPA, conversion value, conversion rate, or qualified volume.

## When to Use

Use this skill when testing bidding strategy, target changes, campaign structure, broad match, ads, landing pages, Performance Max setup, budgets, or audience and value inputs.

## Inputs

Useful inputs: business question, hypothesis, campaign, baseline period, primary metric, guardrail metrics, test variable, traffic split, duration, conversion delay, and minimum decision threshold.

## Workflow

1. Write one clear hypothesis.
2. Select one primary variable to change.
3. Define primary metric and guardrails before launch.
4. Choose eligible campaigns, baseline, split, duration, and conversion-delay handling.
5. Avoid unrelated edits during the test.
6. Evaluate statistical and business significance.
7. Decide to apply, reject, extend, or redesign the test.

## Output

Always provide hypothesis, control and test setup, primary metric, guardrails, duration, decision rules, risks, and final decision template.

## Common Mistakes

- Testing several major changes together.
- Ending a test after a few days or conversions.
- Choosing clicks as the winner metric for a profit objective.
- Applying results without checking business significance.
