# Site Speed Auditor

## Purpose

Audit website speed and performance from a business and user-experience perspective, then prioritize fixes that can improve loading, usability, SEO, and conversion.

This skill is built for e-commerce, DTC websites, B2B websites, mobile pages, landing pages, and international sites.

## When to Use

Use this skill when the task is to:

- audit website speed;
- interpret PageSpeed or Core Web Vitals signals;
- find performance blockers;
- prioritize speed fixes;
- improve mobile loading;
- reduce bounce caused by slow pages;
- connect speed issues to SEO and conversion.

## When NOT to Use

Do not use for deep engineering implementation or server configuration. Use this skill to diagnose and prioritize performance actions.

## Inputs

Useful inputs:

- PageSpeed or Lighthouse report;
- Core Web Vitals data;
- page URL;
- device type;
- country or region;
- platform;
- image/media assets;
- scripts and apps;
- business goal;
- conversion issue.

## Workflow

1. Define the page type, device, and business goal.
2. Review Core Web Vitals and loading signals.
3. Identify image, script, font, app, third-party, and layout-shift issues.
4. Separate critical fixes from low-impact recommendations.
5. Prioritize actions by user impact, SEO impact, and implementation effort.
6. Recommend measurement after fixes.

## Output

Always provide:

- speed diagnosis;
- likely performance blockers;
- Core Web Vitals notes;
- mobile and desktop notes;
- priority fixes;
- implementation guidance level;
- KPI and retest notes.

## Best Practices

- Prioritize mobile performance when mobile traffic is high.
- Fix heavy images and unnecessary scripts early.
- Focus on user-visible loading, not score chasing.
- Retest after each major change.
- Connect speed fixes to conversion and SEO impact.

## Common Mistakes

- Optimizing score instead of user experience.
- Ignoring mobile networks.
- Loading too many third-party scripts.
- Using oversized images.
- Not checking layout shift and interaction delay.
