# HubSpot Line Items (via `hubspot` CLI)

Line items are individual priced entries attached to deals, quotes, or invoices. Each line item is usually a reference to a product with a quantity and per-line price override.

## Auth

Set `HUBSPOT_ACCESS_TOKEN`. Optional `--profile <name>`.

## Canonical commands

## Common properties

`name`, `hs_product_id`, `quantity`, `price`, `amount` (computed), `discount`, `tax`, `hs_recurring_billing_period`, `hs_line_item_currency_code`.

## Associating line items

A line item is only useful when attached to a deal or quote:

- Read: `e-commerce`
- Write: `e-commerce`

## Tips

- Prefer referencing a product via `hs_product_id` over re-entering `name`/`price` so catalog updates propagate.
- All numeric properties are strings: `"quantity": "3"`, not `3`.
