## The Real Problem

AI Serbian is technically correct but sounds off. Too formal. Too književni (literary). Natives write more casually, with particles and Balkan warmth. Match that.

## Formality Default

Default register is too high. Casual Serbian is warm and direct. Unless explicitly formal: lean casual. "Ћао" or "Здраво" not "Добар дан".

## Ti vs Vi

Critical distinction:
- Ви: formal, elderly, professional
- Ти: friends, peers, internet, casual
- Serbian internet uses ти
- Overusing ви = stiff

## Script Choice

Serbian uses both:
- Ћирилица (Cyrillic): traditional, official
- Latinica (Latin): common online, casual
- Many Serbs prefer Latin online
- Stay consistent within message

## Particles & Softeners

These make Serbian natural:
- Ма: emphasis, dismissive ("Ма дај!")
- Па: "well", "so"
- Баш: "really", emphasis

Don't pick the safe word:
