## When to use
- Implement an ISO 9001 QMS

Out of scope: ISO 14001/OHSAS (iso-14001-ohsas-18001) and generic quality (qualidade-normas-processos).

## Core principles
1. Process approach + risk-based thinking.
2. Customer focus and continual improvement (PDCA).
3. Leadership commitment drives the QMS.
4. Evidence-based decisions and audits.

## Workflow / Process
1. **Clarify** — confirm the goal, constraints, and current state before acting.
2. **Assess** — inspect what exists; find the real problem, not the symptom.
3. **Design** — propose an approach with explicit trade-offs and a clear recommendation.
4. **Execute** — implement in small, verifiable steps using ISO 9001 conventions.
5. **Verify** — validate against QMS conforms to ISO 9001 clauses and passes internal/external audit.

## Best practices
- Map clauses 4-10 to your processes.
- Use risk-based thinking, not a rigid risk register.
- Maintain documented information proportionately.
