# Cover Letter

Use this skill when the user wants a cover letter, motivation letter, letter of interest, or application email for a job.

## Rules

- Do not invent facts.
- Do not repeat the resume line by line.
- Be specific to the job and company when evidence is available.
- If company research is missing, stay role-specific instead of inventing details.
- Keep the tone human, confident, and concise.

## Intake

Use or request:

- target role
- company
- job description
- resume/CV
- tone preference
- one or two strongest candidate proof points

## Default structure

1. Specific opening tied to the role.
2. Evidence paragraph with 2 to 3 proof points.
3. Company/team alignment or role motivation.
4. Simple close.

## Output format

```markdown
# Cover Letter: [Role] at [Company]
Dear [Hiring Manager/Team],
[Opening]
[Evidence paragraph]
[Company/team alignment]
[Close]
Sincerely,
[Name]
## Notes to verify
- [Fact/date/metric/company spelling]
```

## Avoid

- "I am writing to express my interest" unless the user requests formal style.
- Fake excitement.
- Claims that do not appear in the resume or user-provided context.
- Keyword stuffing.
