### Clogged Drains

SEVERITY LEVELS:

INDIVIDUAL FIXTURE SHUTOFFS:
  Toilets: Chrome valve on wall/floor behind toilet
  Sinks: Under the sink, usually two valves (hot and cold)
  Washing machine: Behind/above the machine, two valves

  Water heater: On the cold water inlet pipe above the heater

  3. Open a faucet to relieve pressure

## Water Heater Basics

### Maintenance Schedule

TANK WATER HEATER MAINTENANCE:

EVERY 6 MONTHS:
  Test the TPR (Temperature and Pressure Relief) valve:
  1. Place bucket under discharge pipe
  2. Lift lever briefly to verify water flows
  3. Release - valve should snap shut
  4. If it drips continuously after test: Replace the valve
  WARNING: Water will be very hot. Use caution.

ANNUALLY:
