# Social Algorithm & Personal Brand — Organic System
**Chapters**: 9

## How to Use This Skill
- **No args** → read the Core Frameworks below
- **Topic** → "explain indirect selling", "how to write a video script", "algorithm metrics" → load the relevant chapter
- **Chapter** → "ch01" or "ch09" → load that specific chapter
- **Why a personal brand / AI-era case / documentation mindset** → ch09
- **Algorithm lookup** → algorithm knowledge base (era evolution, diagnostic matrix, hook patterns, repost strategy) → ch07

Source language: English. Keep original framework names (indirect selling, hero's journey, social proof as garnish, etc.) — they are proper names of frameworks.

## Core Frameworks & Mental Models

### Indirect Selling — the 4 Elements (Ch 1)
The single piece of content does not sell, the body of communication does. CTA = last 5%. The 4 elements to embed in every piece of communication:
1. **Direct experience** — base everything on your concrete experience, not just "how to" but "how I did"
2. **Principle of need** — create a perceived gap between the target's current state and the desired one. With no need, no CTA works
3. **Hero's journey** — document values, journey, personal payoffs, manifesto. Not a heroic favelas-to-Lambo story, but REVEALING who you are
4. **Social proof as garnish** — testimonials and results everywhere (Stories, descriptions, comments), NEVER as a standalone "here is my case study" post

### Why People Act — The CTA Is Not the Lever (Ch 8)
The CTA is a **gentle nudge** that only fires when the prerequisites already exist. Standard CTAs ("comment below", "DM me info") are burned out and convert less every year. Humans act only when they **feel a need** — an emotional sensation your communication must create. Low conversion is usually **missing prerequisites**, not a weak CTA; a sales Story "correct on paper" still moves no one if it creates no need. **Two reasoning frames** build that need:
1. **The real reasons people pay you** — get brutally clear on the core lever (why they'd give you money), not every pain. Not every real problem is a *buying* problem; find the situation worth paying to solve.
2. **Desire over pain** — lead with the desired situation (where they could get to), not "twisting the knife". Result/situation Stories convert best: they let the viewer see someone in their position getting different results → the healthy gap "how did they do it?" — the question a prospect must ask before acting.
With both frames in place the CTA is optional; people reach the link and act unprompted. **Final diagnosis**: "CTAs don't work" → it's not the CTA, it's communication that doesn't create need.

### Why a Personal Brand NOW — the AI-Era Case & Documentation Mindset (Ch 9)
The personal brand is the **core of the activity** — service, marketing, and funnel all start from it — and it is built on the **intangible** (human trust), which is why AI can't commoditize it. **4 reasons the moment is ideal + the mindset to execute**:
1. **AI works in your favor** — mass AI delegation floods the field with identical content where the person disappears. Use AI to *reason and speed up*, never to *delegate the work*. Staying human = occupying the space everyone is vacating, with less effort to differentiate than before.
2. **"No time" is the #1 excuse** — rarely about time. We claim long-term vision but won't invest where there's no instant feedback loop / carrot. Busyness masks the real barrier (#4).
3. **Immortality in your field (long-term asset)** — do things without communicating them → nobody knows. Past a revenue ceiling you seek trust/esteem/ease-of-selling, which only a personal brand gives. It **compounds like wine**, is an **insurance policy** on the business, positive long-term ROI. Built for **positioning**, not a client tomorrow.
4. **The real difficulty is exposing yourself, not the tech** — making content is easy; *being yourself in public and judged* is hard. The "busy" story masks unclear positioning or not throwing the heart over the obstacle. The game is the same for everyone.
- **Document, don't overproduce** — you already have the content/ideas/ability; enter the *forma mentis* "what I do, I communicate". No studio/filmmaker needed; waiting for the setup = procrastination. Simply *making content* used to be enough to grow — no longer.
- **Making content ≠ having a personal brand** — publishing is step one; the brand means giving people the *pieces* (tesserae) that let them know you and **bringing yourself**. Starting move: block **1 hour of focus** and answer *"how do I want to be remembered in this market in 2–3–5 years?"*

### The 5 Principles to Scale (Ch 6)
1. **Positioning > strategy** — verticalize on one specific domain, not "personal brand in general". Face ↔ domain connection in 2 seconds
2. **Controlling communication = controlling acquisition** — attraction content (useful) ≠ sales content (creates need). Distinct structures
3. **People don't buy on their own** — the brain stays in its comfort zone, ethical funnels are needed. No idealism around "let them be free"
4. **Sell execution, not information** — with AI, knowledge is a commodity. If you fear "giving away content", the service is poorly designed
5. **Without indirect selling, no CTA sells** — all content must "carry water to your mill"

### The Epochal Algorithm Shift (Ch 2, 7)
**2 structural changes**:
- Distribution by **interest** (no longer follower-based) — topic-centric vs profile-centric
- **Passive / dopamine-driven** users — IG is like TV with a remote, opened by habit rather than intent

**3 consequences**: engagement -20/24%, high variance (few top, few flop, no middle), the algorithm rewards good content regardless of follower count (TikTok-ification)

**3 elements in post-shift content**:
- Recognizability + association with your domain in every piece of content
- Complementary resources (recurring lead magnet off-platform)
- Never assume the viewer knows you

**3 current pillar metrics**: Saves, watch time, shares. Likes and follower counts have been devalued.

**Stories** = the only remaining outpost for the community relationship. **Complementary channels** are necessary: YouTube / LinkedIn / newsletter / school.

### Operating System for Consistency (Ch 3)
**Correct formula**: `revenue_generated / hours_invested` (NOT `n_content / hours`). €500/hour beats any consulting fee — no one turns it down.

**3 delegation stages**:
1. One-man-show (necessary to validate your voice)
2. + Editor — first delegation, quick ROI
3. Microteam: creative director + recording support + editor

**3 ideation methods**: Inside Out (journaling + extracting client calls via transcription + AI), Reference (focused scrolling and saves), Pillar (macro → micro down to a single piece of content)

**3 scripting methods**: Reference Based (Turbo Scribe + AI fills the structure), Author Mode (multiple drafts à la Ken Follett), AI-assisted (structure prompt + your input)

**Full day blocking**: block a recording day in your calendar MONTHS in advance. 1 full day = more than 1 month of content.

### Dynamic Videos — 4 Techniques (Ch 5)
Static talking head = dead. Combine:
1. Visual elements + metaphors (key for abstract niches)
2. Camera angle changes + movement (record standing, tripod still)
3. Custom B-roll (NEVER stock — record 10-30 scenes of "you doing things" coherent with your domain)
4. Trailer-style script (short sentences, jagged, frequent line breaks)

Plus the differentiator: personal experience (situations you lived through, concrete examples). If ChatGPT can write your content, you are not recognizable.

### Definition of Organic (Ch 4)
Inquiries / revenue even without ADV budget. Organic + ADV are **complementary**, not competing religions. A personal brand without ADV is possible (documented seven-figure cases with small follower bases); ADV without a personal brand = high costs, low conversion.

### "I See You / I Validate You / I Associate You" Framework (Ch 4)
The mental process the prospect has to go through to remember you and buy. A triangle with 3 vertices:
- **I See You** = ethos (who you are) + recurrence (what identifies you) + personal storytelling (the journey)
- **I Associate You** = positioning + offer + target (in 5 seconds, understandable to a child)
- **I Validate You** = uncopyable experience + authority + social proof as garnish

### The 4 Circles of Hell (Ch 4 — what does NOT work)
1. **Wing-it navigators** — content with no method, hoping clients show up
2. **Fishermen's clique** — they post and wait for the client to find them
3. **Pot sellers** — every post = CTA or pitch, they burn the community
4. **Dock laborers** — budget on content with no underlying structure

### 5 Target Awareness Levels (Ch 4)
Unaware → Problem-aware → Solution-aware → Product-aware → Most-aware. Start from problem-aware upward; unaware audiences are the hardest target.

### 5 Market Sophistication Stages (Ch 4)
How many times the market has already heard your promise (≠ awareness, which is about the prospect). Plain claim → amplified claim → mechanism → amplified mechanism → identification/you. In a saturated market (stage 4-5) a **generic promise won't enter no matter how good the content**; raise the promise or pivot to the mechanism / to yourself. Positioning = how the market notices and remembers you, not "who I talk to". Demographics ("Mark, 25-35") are NOT your marketing — sophistication + awareness are.

### 6 Acquisition Funnels (Ch 4)
The flow is **no longer linear** (`content → inquiry` is dead) — build 1-3 touchpoints into an ecosystem. The **3 highest-leverage** funnels carry ~90% of results: (1) Stories indirect+direct, (2) lead magnet OR quiz funnel, (3) DM management. Talk in DMs proactively; deploy free resources early (run them as a real funnel, not "post + ask email + hope").
- **Profile funnel** (bio + pinned posts + bio link)
- **Follower outreach** (proactive, give-first)
- **ManyChat** (automated, buttons > quick replies, double confirmation)
- **Indirect Stories** (reviews / behind the scenes / cases / stances)
- **Direct Stories** (sales set: gap hook + elements + closing slide + CTA)
- **Lead magnet funnel** (keyword → ManyChat → chat reactivation)
- **Quiz funnel** (lead qualification)

### Bio Anatomy — 3-4 Lines That Convert (Ch 4)
The bio is the first outpost that converts traffic; a prospect who doesn't understand you is a lost client (goes to the clearer competitor). ~150 chars, expect to rewrite it often. Test: *"1-10, from this bio alone, would I give this person my money?"*
- **Line 1 (decisive)**: who you are + what you do + what you do DIFFERENTLY. Must be **clear** (the target's own words) + **specific**. **Kill the verb "help"** → alternatives: "They call me when…", imperative ("Acquire steady clients organically"), first-person verb ("I build personal brands that sell organically"), "You find me when…" (for coaching/mental niches)
- **Line 2 (differentiation)**: deepen line 1 / show *how* you impact them. No empty fillers, no invented method names unless certified. The distinctive tail clause = the core of your method
- **Line 3 (authority)**: prove you're not a nobody — case studies / years / client numbers (uncopyable). At the start with no cases → drop it and be more specific above
- **Line 4 (optional CTA)**: "write INFO in DM" (mass/aware B2C) · book now (short purchase window) · simple "click" + arrow
- **Emoji** = purely stylistic; **bio link** = max 3 ideally 2 (a free resource + a direct-contact funnel), profile IS the landing page, reachable in ≤2 clicks

### Performance Diagnostic Matrix (Ch 7)
The "**lots of X but few Y**" framework reads insights and points to a targeted fix. Examples:
- **↑ Saves / ↓ Likes** → explicit CTA before the halfway mark of the content
- **↑ Views / ↓ Followers** → visual identity + repeated distinctive format
- **↑ Followers / ↓ Interactions** → personal content, talk about the target
- **↑ Likes / ↓ Comments** → polarizing questions + personal experiences
- **↑ Profile visits / ↓ Followers** → clear bio + 3-second hook + vertical topics

### Repost Strategy (Ch 7)
The discovery-first algorithm means followers don't see your posts. **Repost within 3 hours** of publishing to bypass topic-centric distribution. Publish when your audience is online; the repost shapes distribution in the following hours.

### Non-Inflated Hooks (Ch 7)
Replace clichéd formulas with specific framing:
- "Tips for X" → "Everyone tells you to X, but no one explains HOW"
- "How I did X" → "In [time] I took X from [A] to [B]"
- "X tips for Y" → "If you are going through [moment], these are the actions to avoid ending up with [Z]"
