# Deep Research

This skill provides a systematic workflow for conducting comprehensive research and synthesizing findings into professional, adaptive Markdown reports.

## Research & Writing Workflow

### 1. Planning & Scoping
Do not begin research immediately. Analyze the request to determine the required depth, target audience, and domain.

1.  **Define Research Objectives**: Identify the 3-5 core questions that must be answered.
2.  **Design an Adaptive Structure**: Use [report-structures.md](references/report-structures.md) for inspiration. Do not use a fixed template; instead, design a custom set of headers that best fits the specific query.

### 2. Information Gathering (Tool-First, Delegate-Second)
Maximize available tools before seeking external help.

- **Primary Source Gathering**: Use all available web search and document analysis tools.
- **Strategic Delegation**: If a specific expertise or tool is missing, or if the research task is large, delegate to an appropriate sub-agent (e.g., Coding Expert, App Wizard). See [research-strategy.md](references/research-strategy.md) for delegation patterns.

### 3. Iterative Synthesis
Draft the report skeleton first and fill it with findings as they are discovered. This allows for identifying information gaps in real-time.

1.  **Create Markdown Skeleton**: Based on your designed adaptive structure.
2.  **Populate Sections**: Research and write simultaneously.
3.  **Synthesize Findings**: Look for trends, conflicting data, and strategic insights. Do not just list facts.

### 4. Quality Review
Ensure the final report meets high professional standards.

- **Citations**: Include in-text citations and a comprehensive references section at the end.
- **Source Diversity**: Verify facts across multiple independent sources.
- **Handling Gaps**: Explicitly state if certain information could not be found.
