# Feedback Synthesis

> Synthesize product feedback, support tickets, interviews, surveys, reviews, and voice-of-customer data into themes, evidence, opportunities, and product recommendations. Use when Codex is asked to analyze feedback corpora, find patterns, summarize customer pain, or turn raw feedback into product insights.

# Feedback Synthesis

## Core Workflow

1. Define the product decision the feedback should inform.
2. Inventory sources, segments, date range, sample size, collection bias, and
   evidence quality.
3. Separate raw evidence from interpretation and recommendation.
4. Cluster feedback by problem, user segment, workflow, severity, frequency,
   business impact, and confidence.
5. Identify contradictions, outliers, missing segments, and disconfirming
   evidence.
6. Convert findings into opportunities, risks, research questions, and product
   decisions.

## Safety Rules

- Do not treat anecdotal feedback as statistically representative.
- Do not invent customer quotes, counts, segments, or business impact.
- Do not include private customer data unless it is explicitly approved for the
  artifact.
- Escalate when evidence would affect pricing, legal commitments, roadmap
  promises, or customer-specific decisions.

## Deliverable Shape

For feedback synthesis, provide:

- Decision to inform
- Source inventory and limitations
- Theme summary
- Evidence table or bullet evidence
- Segment differences
- Confidence and gaps
- Product opportunities
- Recommended next decision or validation step
