# Implementing .NET MAUI Shimmer (SfShimmer)

`SfShimmer` displays an animated shimmer placeholder while content loads in the background, improving perceived app responsiveness. It supports 7 built-in layout types, fully custom views using `ShimmerView` shapes, and extensive wave animation customization.
