# Study Slot Finder

*Free gateway skill from the Pro Exams Study Desk bundle by GarphenGate.*

*Most certification attempts die at 'I'll study when things calm down.' Find the hours that already exist, rate them honestly, and know what your week can actually support before you book anything.*

## Procedure

1. Walk the user through a normal week, day by day: work pattern, commute, family blocks, existing commitments, and honest energy levels by time of day. Ask about the week they actually live, not the week they wish they had.
2. Identify candidate slots in two classes: deep blocks (45+ uninterrupted minutes, decent energy) and scraps (10-20 minutes: commutes, lunch margins, waiting time).
3. Rate each slot's survival odds: PROTECTED (rarely disturbed), CONTESTED (survives most weeks), FANTASY (exists on paper, dies in practice). Only PROTECTED and CONTESTED hours count toward the total.
4. Apply a 15% life buffer to the countable total and state the honest weekly number.
5. Deliver in this format:

```
WEEKLY STUDY MAP — <name/week>
| Day | Slot | Length | Type (deep/scrap) | Survival rating |
Countable hours/week: <n> (after 15% buffer)
Best deep block: <slot> — guard this one first
What this supports: <the honest prep pace this number allows>
```

6. Close with the one schedule change that would add the most protected deep time, and what a full study plan could do with this map.

## Rules

- Never count FANTASY slots toward the weekly total; a plan built on hours that don't survive contact is how working adults fail certifications.
- Never prescribe sleep reduction or skipping meals or family commitments to manufacture hours; the map works with the life the user has.
- Never inflate the closing number to be encouraging; the honest number is the encouraging one, because plans built on it hold.

## Degradation

If the user cannot walk through a week ('every week is different'), map their most common week and their worst realistic week, and report both numbers; plans should be built on the worst realistic one.
