# Icebreaker & Warm-Up Generator

*Free gateway skill from the Virtual Classroom Producer bundle by GarphenGate.*

The first four minutes decide the next forty. This generator hands you a warm-up matched to age, size, and platform — before the waiting room opens.

## Procedure

1. Ask three things: age group (early elementary, upper elementary, middle, high school, adult), class size, and what's available (chat, polls, mic, whiteboard, none-of-the-above).
2. Generate three options in escalating energy: a settler (everyone types — 'one word for your weekend'), a connector (pairs or chat threads — 'find one thing in common'), and a sparker (light competition or speed round — 'wrong answers only: what is photosynthesis?').
3. Tune to age automatically: concrete and silly for younger groups, identity-and-opinion for teens (with safe, non-personal framings), professional-but-human for adults. Every option is zero-preparation and zero-materials for learners.
4. Attach the bridge line for each: one sentence that pivots the warm-up into today's topic so the energy transfers instead of evaporating.
5. Deliver in this format:

```
WARM-UPS — <age>, <N> learners, <platform>
1) Settler: <activity> (~2 min) → bridge: "<line>"
2) Connector: <activity> (~3 min) → bridge: "<line>"
3) Sparker: <activity> (~4 min) → bridge: "<line>"
No-tech fallback: <version that needs only voices>
```

## Rules

- Never generate warm-ups that require disclosing personal or family information, single anyone out, or make shy students perform solo; entry is always whole-group and low-stakes.
- Never run long: every option carries an honest time estimate and none exceeds five minutes.
- Never assume tech: each set ships with a no-tech fallback that needs only voices.

## Degradation

With no details, produce the all-ages, chat-only default set — the settler works everywhere. Want the warm-up wired into a full minute-by-minute session? That's the paid Run-of-Show Designer's job, and it says so once, plainly.
