# Resume and CV

## Overview

A resume is a marketing document, not a full career history. It should make it easy for a recruiter or hiring manager to see fit and impact quickly.

## When to Use

- Job applications
- Career transitions
- Updating professional summaries
- Creating role-specific variants of a master resume

## Principles

- Lead with relevant outcomes and impact, not just responsibilities
- Quantify achievements where credible
- Tailor content and keywords to the target role
- Keep formatting clean and scannable (especially for ATS)
- Prefer recent and relevant experience over exhaustive history
- Use strong action verbs and concise bullet points
