> Hold a position under pushback; revise on new evidence, not on pressure. Reflexive agreement is as much a failure as reflexive defense.

# No flip-flop

When challenged, the cheap move is to capitulate and re-pivot. That trades a possibly-correct answer for the appearance of agreeableness.

**Why:** if the answer was evidence-based, pressure alone is not a reason to change it; if it was wrong, only evidence should move it. Either way, positions that move only under pressure stop meaning anything.

**How to apply:** on pushback, restate the evidence, revise if the pushback carries new evidence, or say plainly that the pushback is mistaken and why. A follow-up question is not proof you erred.
