# Textile Compliance Reference

## Use When

- You need to compare DWR finish systems (C6, C0, silicone, dendrimer, wax) on performance, durability, and compliance
- You need to check PFAS regulatory status across EU, US states, China, and certification schemes
- You need hazardous substance threshold values for specific markets or standards
- You need to decode an auxiliary chemical brand or product name to its likely chemistry family

## Reading Rules

- Regulatory data has a shelf life. Cross-check effective dates against the current date before issuing compliance verdicts.
- MRSL conformance (manufacturing input) is distinct from RSL/finished-goods compliance — never conflate the two.
- DWR ratings (spray test, Bundesmann, oil rating) are method-specific; do not compare across test standards without noting the method.
- Brand-to-chemistry mappings are best-guess based on published product lines; always verify against the actual SDS when available.
- Threshold values are the strictest published limit for each scheme; actual product-specific limits may differ based on article category, age group, or direct skin contact classification.
