# Tm

> Short alias for `transcendence-memory`. Use when the user types `/tm` or invokes `Skill(skill: "tm")`. Provides the same long-term memory capability — semantic search, memory storage, multimodal RAG queries, container management — backed by the self-hosted transcendence-memory-server. This alias exists because Claude Code skill frontmatter does not support `aliases:` natively, so the canonical name `transcendence-memory` and the short form `tm` are exposed as two SKILL.md files pointing at the same engine.

## What this alias does

`tm` is the **short alias** for the `transcendence-memory` skill. They share the same configuration (`~/.transcendence-memory/config.toml`), the same backend, the same commands.

> `/tm` 是 Agent 的 slash command。安装原生 Python CLI 后，shell 中也可使用 `tm`；两者共用同一份配置。未安装 CLI 时使用 canonical skill 提供的 HTTP 包装脚本，不要假定 shell 命令存在。

## How to execute

Read the canonical SKILL.md and follow its instructions verbatim. Its location depends on how the
skill is installed — read the **sibling `transcendence-memory` skill directory next to this `tm`
directory**:

- **Plugin install** (`/plugin install`): both skill dirs live under
  `<plugin-root>/skills/`, so the canonical file is `../transcendence-memory/SKILL.md`
  relative to this one (plugin root = `~/.claude/plugins/cache/transcendence-memory/transcendence-memory/<version>/`).
- **Bare skill install** (`npx skills add`, Cursor, or dropped under `~/.agents/skills/`): each
  skill is its own top-level dir, so the canonical file is the sibling
  `~/.agents/skills/transcendence-memory/SKILL.md` (i.e. `../transcendence-memory/SKILL.md`
  relative to `~/.agents/skills/tm/`).

In both layouts the canonical SKILL.md sits in a sibling `transcendence-memory/` directory — locate
it by name (e.g. `Glob: **/skills/transcendence-memory/SKILL.md` or `~/.agents/skills/transcendence-memory/SKILL.md`)
rather than hard-coding one absolute path.

That file documents the complete command set:

Server **v0.20** also adds a governance subsystem reached over HTTP (no `/tm` shortcut) — runtime config center (`GET/PUT /admin/config`), a 6-tool governance toolbox (`/admin/tools`), a dreaming memory-tidy subsystem (`/admin/dreaming/*`), and an opt-in LLM orchestration agent + human approval queue (`/admin/agent/*`). ## Why this exists

Claude Code's skill frontmatter does **not** support `aliases:` field (verified via official `Frontmatter reference`). To let users invoke either `/transcendence-memory remember ...` or the shorter `/tm remember ...` (and the equivalent `Skill(skill: "tm", ...)` agent calls), this alias skill mirrors the canonical entry.

## Maintenance

If the canonical SKILL.md changes, this alias does **not** need editing — it always defers to the canonical file at runtime. Only update this file if the deferral mechanism itself changes (e.g. the canonical path moves).

## Do not duplicate state

Do not write a separate `config.toml`, do not call distinct endpoints, do not maintain a parallel command map. This file is intentionally thin to avoid drift.
