# YouTube Topic Selection

## Inputs

Collect or infer:

- Channel niche and audience.
- Viewer pain point, curiosity, or aspiration.
- Video format: long-form, Shorts, tutorial, review, commentary, story, list, documentary.
- Target length and language.
- Any existing ideas, competitors, or keywords.

## Process

1. Generate 10-20 candidate topics.
2. Score each candidate on audience demand, novelty, clarity, production effort, monetization fit, and thumbnail/title potential.
3. Remove topics that are too broad, too generic, impossible to verify, or likely to need unavailable assets.
4. Pick the top 1-3 topics.
5. Convert the winning topic into a production brief.
