# Infrared Shaped Mirror

> Support broadly shareable infrared shaped-mirror work for AAO, including neutral optical-design notes, modelling workflows, calculation planning, script development, and review of non-sensitive references. Use only when project constraints and examples are safe for general AAO or approved-collaborator circulation.

# Infrared Shaped Mirror

## Workflow

- Confirm that the task does not include restricted design constraints, controlled requirements, sensitive performance targets, partner-private details, or internal strategy.
- Establish the optical context before drafting or calculating: wavelength regime, geometry, performance quantity, assumptions, and validation method.
- Separate observed facts, design assumptions, approximations, and open questions.
- Use `references/` for shareable optics background and `scripts/` for deterministic calculations once added.
- Keep calculations reproducible by stating units, inputs, equations, and uncertainty or tolerance assumptions.

## Output Expectations

- Provide concise technical notes, calculation plans, or scripts that can be reviewed by another optical engineer.
- Flag missing inputs, sensitivity to assumptions, and validation steps.
- Move sensitive project-specific design work to the restricted repository.
