# Generate Skill

> **Architecture**: Commands → Agents → Skills. This command orchestrates through `Task()` tool.

## Command Purpose

Generate complete skill structure with:
- SKILL.md with YAML frontmatter
- scripts/ directory (optional)
- Proper naming convention
- Color coding (yellow for custom)
- Integration with agent ecosystem

**Run on**: `$ARGUMENTS` (skill-name [description])

**Variables**:
- `$1`: Skill name (e.g., moai-connector-slack)
- `$2+`: Optional description

`/builder:generate-skill` creates skills through agent delegation:

## PHASE 1: Skill Name Validation

**Goal**: Ensure skill name follows conventions

### Step 1.1: Parse Arguments

Skill names should follow pattern: `{category}-{domain}` or `{prefix}-{category}-{domain}`

Valid prefixes:

- No prefix - General skills
