# Shopify Liquid Fundamentals

## Core Principles

### Whitespace Control
- Use `{%- -%}` to trim whitespace around Liquid tags
- Prefer `{% render %}` over deprecated `{% include %}`
- Use `{% liquid %}` for multi-line logic blocks

**Example:**

### Performance Optimization
- Minimize Liquid logic in templates
