# agentprivacy-star-companion

Reuse the keeper-approved bottom-right floating Star: click for a compact key picker, Customise Star link and minimal connection state. Leave fuller explanation to the extension and linked guide. Avoid another large homepage onboarding panel or conflicting status widget. Preserve the existing wandering-orb game and casting economy.

Use allowlisted palette projection, optional key commitment verification and tab-session storage. Never retain a full private key/bundle in the page merely to style it. Unknown imported authentication flags cannot set verified state. Handle storage failure, forgetting, reload, keyboard focus/Escape, reduced motion and stacking independently of the decorative scene.

City sources: site/star-arrival.mjs, star-appearance.mjs and star-arrival.css. Landing: src/components/StarCompanion.tsx and its CSS module. The extension implementation now lives in `star-key` (public source: https://github.com/mitchuski/star-key). Inspect its current `packages/extension/src/star-journey.tsx` and `star-registry.ts` before duplicating the reader. The selected-reading export has a versioned content address and a registry read-back adapter; this does not attest identity. Live VTA capture, credential exchange and hosted registry validation remain separate checks.

Core image/artefact and moving-ceiling behaviour remains a design proposal: read star/PLAN_STAR_CORE_ARTEFACT.md and codex_mage/proposals/STAR_CORE_ARTEFACT.md when asked to develop it. Pin the real ceiling model first. Keep SHAPE(key) separate from time-dependent VIEW; changing time cannot silently rewrite the key or revoke credentials.
