# Partner Activation Planner Pmm

> This skill plans partner activation activities for product launches. Use when a launch involves integration partners, resellers, or co-marketing allies who need their own enablement and communication plan. Also consider when partner-sourced pipeline has stalled and a joint activation could reignite momentum. Suggest when a new partnership is signed but no launch activation plan exists to capitalize on the initial announcement window.

## Skill Description
Plans partner activation activities for product launches, ensuring integration partners and co-marketing allies are enabled and aligned to amplify launch impact.

## When to Use
- When a product launch involves integration partners or resellers who need coordinated enablement and co-marketing materials
- When a new partnership is signed and the initial announcement window needs a structured activation plan to generate pipeline
- When partner-sourced pipeline has declined and a joint activation campaign could reignite mutual lead flow

## Workflow
1. **Identify activation partners**: Review the partner roster and select partners relevant to the launch based on integration readiness, audience overlap, and willingness to co-invest in activation. Deliverable: prioritized partner list with contact owners and activation readiness status.
2. **Define joint activities**: For each partner, agree on activation activities (co-branded blog post, joint webinar, integration showcase, marketplace listing update, social amplification). Set timelines aligned to the launch date. Deliverable: partner activation matrix mapping partners to activities and deadlines.
3. **Produce co-marketing assets**: Create or adapt launch materials for partner use -- co-branded one-pagers, email templates, social copy, and demo scripts. Ensure assets pass both brand reviews. Deliverable: approved co-marketing asset kit distributed to each partner.
4. **Execute and track**: Launch partner activities on schedule. Monitor partner participation, content publication, and lead flow attribution. Follow up with partners who miss deadlines. Deliverable: activation tracker with real-time status and lead attribution data.

## Anti-Patterns
- **One-size-fits-all kits**: Sending the same generic asset package to every partner regardless of their audience or integration depth. *Why*: Partners ignore irrelevant materials; tailored assets that reference their specific integration see significantly higher usage and co-promotion rates.
- **Launch-day-only thinking**: Treating partner activation as a single-day event rather than a sustained campaign window. *Why*: Partners have their own content calendars; a single-day ask gets deprioritized, while a multi-week window gives partners flexibility to participate meaningfully.
- **No attribution tracking**: Running joint activities without agreed lead-sharing or attribution mechanisms. *Why*: Without attribution, neither side can measure ROI, and future activation requests lack the data needed to justify partner investment.

## Output
**On success**: A complete partner activation plan with a prioritized partner list, activity matrix with deadlines, co-branded asset kit approved by both parties, and an activation tracker showing partner participation and attributed lead flow.

**On failure**: Report which partners could not be activated (declined, missed deadlines, integration not ready), what assets were produced, and recommend whether to proceed with a reduced partner set or delay activation to the next launch window.
