## Code Review Criteria

### Automated Checks

**Formatting:**
- Run Prettier/Black
- Check consistent indentation
- Verify line length < 120 characters
- Check for trailing whitespace
- Ensure file ends with newline

**Linting:**
- No unused variables
- No console.log in production
- No TODO comments without ticket
- Proper error handling
- Type safety (strict mode)

**Complexity Metrics:**

### Design Principles

**SOLID Checks:**

**Single Responsibility:**
- Class/function does one thing
- Can describe responsibility in one sentence
- Changes for only one reason

**Open/Closed:**
- Open for extension
- Closed for modification
- Use interfaces/abstract classes

**Liskov Substitution:**
- Subtypes usable where base type expected
- No strengthening preconditions
- No weakening postconditions

**Interface Segregation:**
- No fat interfaces
- Clients depend only on methods they use
- Prefer many small interfaces

**Dependency Inversion:**
- Depend on abstractions not concretions
- High-level modules independent of low-level
- Abstractions not dependent on details

**Code Smells Detection:**

### Naming Conventions

**Variables:**
- Descriptive names (no single letters except i, j in loops)
- camelCase for JS/TS
- snake_case for Python
- Boolean variables start with is/has/should
- Avoid abbreviations unless well-known

**Functions:**
- Verb phrases (calculateTotal, fetchUsers)
- Clearly indicate what they do
- Same naming convention as variables

**Classes:**
- Noun phrases (UserRepository, PaymentService)
- PascalCase in all languages
- Descriptive, not generic

**Constants:**
- UPPER_SNAKE_CASE
- Grouped by domain

### Documentation Requirements

**Functions:**
- Purpose description
- Parameter descriptions
- Return value description
- Example usage for complex functions
- Exceptions thrown

**Classes:**
- Class purpose and responsibility
- Usage examples
- Thread safety notes if applicable
- Important state transitions

**Files:**
- Module-level docstring
- Public API documentation
- Examples for complex modules

### Error Handling

**Checks:**
- No bare except clauses
- Specific exceptions caught
- Error messages informative
- Don't silently swallow errors
- Log errors with context
- Return appropriate error responses

**Examples:**
