# Nansen Profiler — Wallet Intelligence

Profile any wallet: balances, labels, PnL, transactions, and counterparties.

### ⚠️ Known Issues

- **`profiler pnl`** — The CLI calls the old endpoint path (`pnl-and-trade-performance`) which returns 404. The correct API endpoint `/api/v1/profiler/address/pnl` works via curl. Requires `date` range. Use `profiler pnl-summary` for aggregate PnL, or curl for per-token PnL.
- **`profiler trace`** (counterparty trace) — Will not work for high-volume addresses if you search longer timeframes. Use `--depth 2` and short timeframes for large wallets.
- **`profiler transactions`** requires `--date '{"from": "YYYY-MM-DD", "to": "YYYY-MM-DD"}'` — the `--days` option alone does NOT work.

### Response Field Notes

- **`profiler labels`** returns: `label`, `category`, `definition`, `fullname`, `smEarnedDate` (not `label_type`/`label_subtype` as schema suggests)
- **`profiler historical-balances`** returns: `block_timestamp`, `chain`, `token_address`, `token_amount`, `token_symbol`, `value_usd` (not `date`/`balance`/`balance_usd`)
- **`profiler pnl-summary`** returns top-level fields: `top5_tokens`, `traded_token_count`, `traded_times`, `realized_pnl_usd`, `realized_pnl_percent`, `win_rate`

## Investigation Workflow

1. **Search** → find entity  2. **Labels** → identity  3. **Balance** → current holdings  4. **Historical Balances** → trends  5. **Counterparties** → interactions  6. **Trace** → network mapping

## Ticker Resolution

If user gives a ticker instead of address:
