# Content Development

> Use when the user wants to develop long-form website content, pillar pages, blog posts, resource pages, thought-leadership articles, educational content, or conversion-focused written content from brief to outline to draft. Also use when the user mentions "content development," "write an article," "develop this blog post," "pillar page," "resource page," "content brief," "topic cluster article," "thought leadership piece," "write this page," "expand this outline," "draft this content," or "build content from this strategy." Use this when the task is creating structured written content, not just high-level planning or light copy polish. When the content is for a website page or landing page, apply the StoryBrand framework and consult the user's local StoryBrand books.

# Content Development

Use this skill to turn a topic, brief, keyword target, or messaging strategy into structured written content.

## StoryBrand Rule For Website Pages

If the content is for a homepage, landing page, services page, sales page, or other conversion-oriented website page, read the relevant sections from:

- `/Users/newmindsgroup/Library/CloudStorage/GoogleDrive-info@newmindsgroup.com/My Drive/ai-projects/AI Knowledge Library/Markdown Business Books for AI Projects/Building a StoryBrand - Clarify Your Message So Customers -- Donald Miller.md`
- `/Users/newmindsgroup/Library/CloudStorage/GoogleDrive-info@newmindsgroup.com/My Drive/ai-projects/AI Knowledge Library/Markdown Business Books for AI Projects/Building a StoryBrand 2.0- Clarify Your Message So Customers -- Donald Miller.md`

Then structure the content around StoryBrand principles rather than writing generic website copy.

Before major website-page content development, read `/Users/newmindsgroup/.codex/skills/brand-brain/SKILL.md` and use its packet format to ground positioning, proof, objections, and CTA hierarchy.

## Typical Outputs

- content brief
- outline
- first draft
- refreshed draft
- pillar page structure
- SEO-aware long-form page copy

## Workflow

1. Confirm the audience, intent, format, and desired action.
2. Identify the primary topic and any related subtopics or search intent.
3. Build a strong outline before drafting.
4. Write with:
   - clear hierarchy
   - useful substance
   - natural keyword usage
   - specific examples
   - strong transitions
5. End with a clear next step or CTA when appropriate.

## Guardrails

- Match the depth to search and reader intent
- Avoid filler, generic intros, and repetitive phrasing
- Keep sections purposeful and scannable
- If the goal is persuasion, align with the offer and positioning
- If the goal is authority, prefer clarity and evidence over hype
