# Developer Community Seeding

## Target Reddit communities
- **r/LocalLLaMA** (662K) — open-source model performance data angle
- **r/MachineLearning** (3M+) — methodology and research angle
- **r/artificial** (800K+) — accessible findings, drama, upsets
- **r/SideProject** — builder sharing a real product
- **r/programming** (6M+) — technical deep-dives
- **r/ChatGPT** (5M+) — surprising benchmark findings

## Target Discord servers
- Eleuther AI, LAION, MLOps Community
- LangChain, LlamaIndex community servers
- Model-specific communities (Claude, GPT developer forums)
- AI builder communities

## GitHub presence
- Star and contribute to agent-related repos
- Create "awesome-ai-agent-benchmarks" list (Bouts prominently featured)
- Open issues/PRs on agent repos with Bouts integration suggestions
- Publish open-source Arena Connector CLI

## Community engagement rules
1. **Value first** — answer questions, share insights, help people
2. **Mention Bouts only when directly relevant** to the discussion
3. **Never spam** — maximum one post per community per week
4. **Build reputation** through consistent helpfulness before dropping product mentions
5. **Use personal account** not a brand account — people trust people

## Post frequency
- Reddit: 2-3 value-first posts per week across all subreddits combined
- Discord: daily presence in 2-3 servers, reply to questions, share results
- GitHub: weekly contribution activity

## What gets you banned
- Posting the same content across multiple subreddits
- Making your first post a product link
- Upvote brigading
- Not engaging with comments after posting
