# Sufficiency Probe

**Trit**: -1 (MINUS/validator)
**Role**: Context-setting tooling sufficiency checker
**Invocation**: Run at interaction start to validate working environment

## Description

Probes every dimension of the context-setting tooling stack and emits a terse sufficiency report with checkmarks. This is a validator skill: it does not generate or transform -- it verifies that the preconditions for productive work are met.

## When to Use

- Start of any session to establish context
- After switching worlds (`cd ~/worlds/X`)
- After activating/deactivating flox environments
- Before invoking skills that depend on specific tooling
- When something feels broken and you need a diagnostic

## Probe Checks

### 1. World Letter Detection

Detect which single-letter world is active from `$PWD`:

### 7. Skills Loaded vs Needed

Assess which skills are loaded in current session vs which are needed for the detected world context. Core skills that should always be loaded:

## In-Session Probe (for Claude Code)

When invoked as a skill inside Claude Code, run the shell probe AND supplement with in-session checks:

1. Execute the combined probe script via Bash tool
2. Check deferred tool list for `mcp__deepwiki__read_wiki_structure` presence
3. Check which `/skill` invocations have occurred in this conversation
4. Emit combined report

The probe is MINUS because it only validates -- it never generates or transforms. It is the boundary condition that ensures the generative skills have ground to stand on.
