# short-form-motivational

A motivational post WITHIN your niche. The format most likely to make you sound like a LinkedIn coach if you're not careful — and the format most likely to ship pure AI slop if your `writing-style/SKILL.md` doesn't enforce specifics.

**Quota: 1-2 per month maximum.** More than that and your feed turns into noise.

## Structure (LinkedIn)

```
[Hook: a personal-stakes statement OR a hard truth.
  Examples:
  - "Three years ago I was making €4k/mo at a job I hated. Today I make €0/mo doing what I love. I'm happier."
  - "If you're waiting to feel ready, you'll wait forever."]
[2-3 short paragraphs:
  - The detail that grounds it (specific scene, number, moment).
  - The reframe.
  - The implication for the reader.]
[Closer: a hard, declarative line. NOT "you got this!".
  Generic shapes (replace with your own):
  - "Just start."
  - "The right time is now."
  - A specific command tied to your niche.]
```

## Rules

- **Personal specifics are mandatory.** A motivational post without a specific scene from YOUR life is generic motivation — and generic motivation is AI slop.
- **No "you got this" / "believe in yourself" energy.** Motivational posts that land say hard things, not soft things.
- **Land it with a command, not a wish.** "Just start" beats "I hope you take action".
- **Tie it to your niche.** Motivation about life in general is too broad. Motivation about shipping, building, writing — your turf.

## Anti-patterns (heavy)

- Generic inspiration ("Believe in yourself", "Trust the process"). Banned.
- Hustle culture energy ("5am club", "no excuses"). Banned.
- Posts that could appear under any name in any industry. The post should only make sense from YOU about YOUR niche.
- Three-adjective stacks describing future state ("amazing, fulfilling, abundant"). Cut.
- "Like and follow if you agree" — engagement bait.
- Closing with "What's stopping you?" — overused tic.

## Example patterns (and their constraints)

The shape that works: a sharp, specific phrasing that earns the motivational tone via concrete detail — _"The worst thing that happens when we take a chance is that our life stays the same."_ Counter-pattern that almost never earns its place: rhetorical-question closers like _"Why not you? Why not today?"_ — usable once per year, not per post.

For author-specific references in your own voice, see `writing-style/SKILL.md`.

## Workflow

1. Pick the specific moment from YOUR life that prompts this.
2. State the lesson as a command, not a feeling.
3. Cut every word that could appear in a generic motivation post.
4. If it still sounds generic, scrap it. Not every week needs a motivational post.
