# Notion Launch First Sale

> Generates a complete launch plan and first sale strategy for any Notion template — where to post, what to say, how to get buyers with zero followers and no public social presence. Trigger when user says: "how do I launch this", "how do I get my first sale", "where do I post", "run Skill 6", "launch my template", or "I'm ready to sell". Always runs AFTER Skill 5. Reads the template and listing copy, then outputs a day-by-day action plan. Works for any niche. No posting required.

# Launch & First Sale — Skill 6

## Context this skill was built for
- Zero existing audience
- Uncomfortable with self-promotion and public posting
- Won't let people in personal life know
- 30–60 min/day available
- Goal: first sale as fast as possible + passive long-term systems
- Fear: zero response despite effort, looking salesy, not knowing what to say

Everything in this skill is designed around these constraints.
No "build an audience first." No "post every day." No cold DMs to strangers.
The strategy: put the template in front of people who are already searching for it.

---

## Step 0: Read the template and copy

Call `notion-fetch` on the parent page ID from Skill 4.
Also fetch the Seller Copy subpage.
Extract:
```
NAME:        Template name
AUDIENCE:    Exact person this is for
PAIN:        Their core frustration
OUTCOME:     What changes after using it
PRICE_USD:   USD price
PRICE_INR:   INR price
PLATFORMS:   Where it's listed (from Skill 5 output)
HOOKS:       The 3 hook formulas from Skill 5 copy DNA
PROOF_HOOK:  The ROI claim
```

If copy not available → ask user to paste template name, audience, pain, price.

---

## Step 1: Niche-specific platform map

Before planning actions, map the template's niche to where its buyers actually are.
Extract niche from DB names + audience signal.

| Niche | Where buyers search | Where they hang out |
|---|---|---|
| Job search / career | r/jobs, r/cscareerquestions, r/careerguidance | LinkedIn, Jobseeker FB groups |
| Freelance / invoicing | r/freelance, r/entrepreneur | Freelancer FB/Telegram groups |
| Students / academics | r/college, r/productivity, r/studytips | Study Telegram/Discord groups |
| Content creators | r/NewTubers, r/contentcreation | Creator FB groups, Telegram |
| Personal productivity | r/productivity, r/getdisciplined, r/selfimprovement | Notion community, Telegram |
| Finance / budgeting | r/personalfinance, r/india, r/financialindependence | Money Telegram groups |
| Startups / business | r/startups, r/entrepreneur | Founder Slack communities |
| Health / habits | r/habit, r/selfimprovement, r/getmotivated | Wellness Telegram groups |
| Indian audience (any) | r/india, r/IndianWorkplace, r/developersIndia | Indian creator Telegram groups |

Output the top 3 most relevant communities for THIS template's niche.

---

## Step 2: The no-posting, no-followers first sale strategy

Core insight: you don't need followers to make a first sale.
You need to be in the right place when someone who has the problem is looking for a solution.

### The 3 channels that work without an audience:

**Channel 1 — Search-intent platforms (passive, works while you sleep)**
People searching Google, Notion Gallery, Gumroad, Whop, Notionery etc.
These buyers are already looking. You just need to be listed.
Action: submit to all platforms from Skill 5. This is 100% of your Day 1 effort.

**Channel 2 — Community value drops (active, 20 min/day, NOT self-promotion)**
The key insight: you are NOT promoting. You are helping.
Someone asks a question about the exact problem your template solves →
you answer genuinely → you mention the template as a resource, not a pitch.
This feels nothing like self-promotion because it isn't. It's answering a question.

**Channel 3 — Silent distribution (passive, set once)**
Listing on Notion marketplaces, Notion Gallery, and affiliate platforms.
They promote your template to their audience. You do nothing after submitting.

---

## Step 3: Day-by-day launch plan (30–60 min/day)

### DAY 1 — List everywhere (60 min total)
Goal: get indexed on search-intent platforms. Every minute here compounds.

```
TASK 1 — Whop listing (15 min)
Paste Skill 5 Whop copy. Set price. Upload cover image.
If no cover image: use Canva free → template name + tagline, dark background, white text.
Publish. Copy your Whop link.
TASK 2 — Gumroad listing (10 min)
Paste Skill 5 Gumroad copy. Set price. Duplicate Notion page → make it public →
paste the public link as the product file. Publish.
TASK 3 — Notion Gallery submission (10 min)
Go to notion.so/templates/submit. Paste gallery description. Submit.
(Takes 3–7 days to approve — submit Day 1 so it's live sooner.)
TASK 4 — Notion marketplace submissions (20 min)
Submit to: Notionery, Notioneverything, Prototion, Notionplaza, The Notion Corner.
Each: paste submission description from Skill 5. Include affiliate pitch (40%).
This is 5 submissions. 4 min each.
TASK 5 — Topmate (5 min)
If niche fits: paste Topmate copy. Set INR price. Publish.
```

**End of Day 1: template is live on 8–10 platforms. Search traffic starts.**

---

### DAY 2 — Find your buyers' communities (20 min)
Goal: identify 3 communities where your exact buyer hangs out. Do not post yet.

```
TASK 1 — Find communities (10 min)
Using the niche platform map from Step 1, open each community.
For Reddit: read the last 20 posts. Find the tone. Find the pain.
For Telegram/Facebook: join silently. Read for 10 min. Observe language.
TASK 2 — Save 3 recent posts that match your template's pain (10 min)
Search the community for keywords related to your template's problem.
Save 3 posts where someone described the exact pain your template solves.
These are your first response targets. Don't respond yet.
```

**End of Day 2: you know where your buyers are and what they sound like.**

---

### DAY 3 — First value drop (30 min)
Goal: post one genuinely helpful answer in one community. No pitch. No link yet.

```
THE RULE: Answer first. Link only if it adds real value and the community allows it.
TASK 1 — Find a question (5 min)
Go to your top community. Search: "[pain keyword] help" or "[pain keyword] how to".
Find a post where someone asked about the exact problem your template solves.
The post can be old — age doesn't matter for this.
TASK 2 — Write a real answer (20 min)
Write the best answer you can to their question.
Answer it fully. Don't hint at your template. Don't tease.
If your answer naturally leads to "here's a system I built for this" → add it at the end.
If not → answer fully and don't mention it.
Structure for the answer:
[Acknowledge the exact pain they described — 1 sentence]
[The insight they're missing — 2–3 sentences of real advice]
[The specific steps that actually work — 3–4 bullet points]
[Optional: "I actually built a Notion template for this exact problem if you want it —
it's [link]. Happy to answer any questions."]
TASK 3 — Post it (5 min)
Post. Close the tab. Don't refresh obsessively.
The goal is not to go viral. The goal is to be visible to the next person who
searches that community for that problem.
```

**End of Day 3: one piece of genuinely helpful content is indexed in your niche community.**

---

### DAYS 4–7 — Compound the value drops (20–30 min/day)

Repeat Day 3's process once per day across your 3 target communities.
Rotate communities. Never post twice in the same community two days in a row.

**The daily rhythm:**
- 5 min: find one question in a community
- 20 min: write a real, complete answer
- 5 min: post it

**What to do when someone responds to your answer:**
Reply promptly. Be helpful. If they ask about the template → answer genuinely.
If they ask the price → tell them directly. Don't soft-sell.
If they say "I'd use this" → say "here's the link: [link]". One line. No pitch.

**What to do when nobody responds:**
Normal. Expected. Keep going. Search traffic from your Day 1 listings is building.
The value drops compound — posts get indexed by Google. They drive traffic for months.

---

### WEEK 2 — First sale mechanics (30 min total setup, then passive)

By now: listed on 8–10 platforms, 5–7 value drops posted across communities.
Focus shifts to making sure anyone who finds the template actually buys.

```
TASK 1 — Check your listings (10 min)
Open each platform. Check: is the cover image showing? Is the description formatted correctly?
Fix anything broken. This matters — a broken listing loses the sale.
TASK 2 — Add a guarantee (5 min)
Go to your Whop and Gumroad listings.
Add one line to the description: "If you open this and don't see the value immediately,
email me at [email] and I'll refund you. No questions."
This removes the biggest purchase barrier for a buyer who doesn't know you.
TASK 3 — UPI setup for direct sales (15 min)
Set up your UPI ID if not done.
Save the DM scripts from Skill 5 (all 3 versions) somewhere accessible —
Notes app, saved messages, wherever you'll find them fast.
When someone DMs asking about the template → paste the right script. Done.
```

---

### WEEK 2+ — Long-term passive systems (set once, run forever)

These take 15–30 min to set up. Then they work without you.

**System 1 — Google indexing (15 min)**
Create one free page on any of these: Notion.so (your public template page),
Carrd.co (free landing page), or Beehiiv (free newsletter landing).
Paste your Gumroad/Whop link. Use your template name + pain keyword in the page title.
Submit the URL to Google Search Console (free).
Google starts indexing it. People searching for your template's solution find it.

**System 2 — Evergreen community posts (10 min to write, passive forever)**
Write one standalone post (not a reply) for your top community.
Format: "I was [exact pain]. I built a system to fix it. Here's what I learned: [3 genuine insights]. If you want the actual template, it's here: [link]."
This is a story post, not a sales post. It lives in the community forever.
People searching that community months later will find it.

**System 3 — Affiliate activation (10 min)**
Email each Notion marketplace you submitted to:
"Hey — I submitted [template name] last week. Happy to offer 40% affiliate commission
on every sale. Would love to know if there's anything I can do to help you promote it."
Affiliates promoting your template = sales while you sleep.

**System 4 — Topmate profile optimization (10 min)**
If listed on Topmate: add your template to your profile bio.
Connect your Instagram to Topmate (if using Instagram).
Topmate buyers find you through their own search — you never have to post.

---

## Step 4: What to say in every situation

### When someone finds your listing and has a question:
```
Hey [name]! [Template name] is built for [audience in 6 words].
The short answer to your question: [answer their actual question first].
If you want the full system — it's [price] at [link].
Any other questions, happy to answer.
```

### When someone says "I'll buy it later":
```
No problem at all. It'll be there whenever you're ready — [link].
One thing that might help: [one specific outcome they get in the first 10 minutes].
That's usually when people decide it was worth it.
```

### When someone says "it's too expensive":
```
Fair. Here's the honest framing: [proof hook — the ROI claim].
But if the price is a real blocker, I'd rather you get it than not.
DM me and we can figure something out.
```

### When someone asks "is this really worth it?":
```
Honest answer: it depends on how much [the pain] is costing you.
[Proof hook].
If that resonates — yes, it's worth it. If not — it's probably not for you.
```

---

## Step 5: First sale checklist

Before considering the launch "done", verify:

- [ ] Listed on Whop with cover image and correct price
- [ ] Listed on Gumroad with full description and public Notion link
- [ ] Submitted to Notion Gallery (takes 3–7 days)
- [ ] Submitted to all 5 Notion marketplaces with affiliate pitch
- [ ] Listed on Topmate (if niche fits)
- [ ] 3 value drop answers posted in niche communities
- [ ] Guarantee line added to Whop + Gumroad
- [ ] UPI DM scripts saved and ready to paste
- [ ] One evergreen story post written and posted
- [ ] Affiliate follow-up emails sent to marketplaces

**When the first sale arrives:**
Reply to the buyer within 1 hour. Say: "Thanks — if you have any questions about
setting it up, just message me." One sentence. That's your customer service.
Ask for feedback after 3 days: "How's it going with the template? Anything I can improve?"
Their answer becomes your testimonial (with permission). Law 18.

---

## Step 6: Output to user

Deliver:
1. **Niche community map** — top 3 specific communities for this template
2. **Day 1 listing checklist** — platform by platform, with direct submission links
3. **Day 3–7 value drop scripts** — pre-written answers for the top 2 questions
   your audience asks in those communities (derived from template pain + audience)
4. **Week 2 passive systems** — setup instructions for all 4 systems
5. **All 4 conversation scripts** — ready to paste when buyers engage

---

## Hard rules

- Never suggest posting publicly where people the user knows could see it
- Never suggest cold DM-ing strangers
- Never suggest "build an audience first" — that's a 6-month delay
- Never suggest paid ads — zero budget assumed
- Every action must be completable in 30–60 min/day
- Every script must be paste-ready — no "customize this to your voice"
  (the user doesn't know how yet; give them the exact words)
- The goal of every value drop is to genuinely help, not to sell.
  Selling happens because you helped. In that order. Never the reverse.

---

## Errors
- Template info missing → ask for: name, audience, pain, price, top 3 platforms listed
- Niche unclear → infer from DB names; if still ambiguous, ask one question
- User asks "what if I get zero responses" → output the "zero response protocol":
  Wait 48 hours. Check if the post was indexed (Google the exact title).
  If no indexing → repost in a different community. Repeat until 3 communities have it.
  Search traffic from listings takes 7–14 days to build. Keep going.
