# Plan Dashboard local dev

Bootstrap scripts live in **dca-plan-dashboard-local-dev** (not in this skills repo).

- Default clone: `C:\repos\dca-plan-dashboard-local-dev`
- DCA monorepo: `C:\repos\DCA` (or set `DCA_ROOT` / `config/dca-root.local.json` in the bootstrap repo)

## Agent workflow

1. Confirm `DCA_ROOT` points at the DCA clone (`config/dca-root.local.json` or env var in the **bootstrap** repo).
2. Confirm `config/local.secrets.json` exists in the bootstrap repo with `CacheClient.RedisConnectionString` (not committed).
3. Run **stop** → **bootstrap** → **start** from the bootstrap repo:

.\scripts\Start-PlanDashboardDev.ps1

4. Verify: `.\scripts\Test-PlanDashboardDev.ps1`
5. Browser: `http://localhost:5099/sponsor/home?p=p006114`

## Visual Studio debugging

- User must **Stop** terminal-started apps before F5 (`Stop-PlanDashboardDev.ps1` in bootstrap repo).
- Solution configuration: **Debug | Any CPU** — not Release (avoids “debugging a Release build”).
- **Clean** + **Rebuild** after switching to Debug.
- Multi-start: `MFE\DCA.sln` → **Plan.Dashboard.UI (With API)**; merge `config/Plan.Dashboard.UI.WithApi.slnLaunch.fragment.json` from the bootstrap repo locally to add Plan.Dashboard.Api.

## Do not

- Commit `appsettings.Development.json` or `local.secrets.json` into DCA.
- Run terminal `Start-PlanDashboardDev` and Visual Studio F5 on the same ports.
