# Arbor foundation

Historical source evidence from [penso/arbor](https://github.com/penso/arbor),
revision `d8d82b7eec6cba3682374875d8f13407c7181ef0`; license: MIT (`LICENSE`).
Local convenience checkout: `<local-checkouts>/arbor`.

Current project source, tests, requirements, and runtime behavior outrank this
projection. This foundation is not a procedure or an exhaustive repository study.

Open [the index](references/index.md), select one capsule answering the active
question, and load only that capsule. Revalidate its source revision and cited
implementation/tests before relying on it. The index records bounded scope,
evidence, execution limitations, and the complete capsule inventory.

## Topic map

- [Control-key/text followup](references/control-text-followup.md): one-shot input deduplication.
- [Delayed output following](references/delayed-output-following.md): scroll policy, session fences, cancellation limits and test-only retry helpers.
- [Bounded scrollback eviction](references/bounded-scrollback-eviction.md): retained-length saturation versus surviving row identity.
- [Alternate-screen history ownership](references/alternate-screen-history-ownership.md): explicit active mode versus saved-buffer storage and detached projection.
