# ACA competitor engagers

Build an audience around competitor signals without requiring separate scraping credentials in the skill.

## Rules

- Be explicit when exact post-engager scraping is unavailable through the current ACA MCP toolset.
- Prefer category keywords, competitor company names, role filters, and LinkedIn imports.
- Confirm before fresh imports.
- Avoid hostile competitor messaging.

## Workflow

1. Clarify competitor names, category terms, geography, target roles, and exclusion terms.
2. Search ACA lead pool with competitor/category `keyword` and relevant filters.
3. If needed, use:
   - `search_linkedin_parameters`
   - `build_linkedin_search_url`
   - `start_linkedin_import`
   - `start_apify_leads_import`
4. Create or verify the list.
5. Route to `aca-campaign-strategy` for a respectful "alternative to" angle.

## Output format

```text
Competitor audience:
Competitors/categories: {terms}
Source path: {lead_pool/linkedin/apify}
Preview: {count}
List: {list_id}
Recommended angle: {angle}
```

## Skill chaining

This skill participates in the ACA chain. Preserve the selected ACA org, relevant IDs, user brief, approval state, and any generated artifacts when continuing into another ACA skill. If the user asked for execution and a downstream condition is met, continue into the next skill automatically; otherwise end with the handoff block.

**Upstream**
- Called by `aca-find-leads` or campaign planning for competitor/category audiences.

**Auto-continue conditions**
- After audience creation -> continue to `aca-lead-quality`.
- After quality scoring -> continue to `aca-campaign-strategy` for a respectful alternative angle.

**Stop before chaining when**
- Ask before fresh imports and avoid hostile competitor messaging.

**Downstream skills**
- `aca-lead-quality` - clean the competitor/category audience.
- `aca-campaign-strategy` - build the alternative-to campaign.
- `aca-campaign-copywriting` - write non-hostile copy.

**Handoff block**

```text
Chain state: {continue|needs_approval|blocked|complete}
Next skill: {aca-skill-name|none}
Reason: {why this handoff is or is not needed}
Carry forward: {org_id/name, product_id, icp_id, lead_list_id, campaign_id, sequence_id, job_id, approvals, constraints}
```
