# Relationship Repair

After rupture, the goal is rarely pretending nothing happened—it is **forward** trust: clearer needs, safer patterns, and proof over time.

## When to Use
- Post-fight cooldown, lingering resentment, broken agreements, or “we made up but it still feels off.”

## Workflow
- **De-escalate first** (pause, lower volume, repair bids—any move that stops the spiral).
- **Acknowledge the rupture** explicitly; both experiences can be valid without agreeing on every fact.
- **Name trigger and underlying need** beneath positions (“You need reliability; I need autonomy”).
- **Define repair** together—not always “back to before,” often “toward something sturdier.”
- **Agree on changes** you can both observe; follow-up beats one dramatic talk.

## Examples
**Good:** “What would ‘repaired’ look like to you this week—in actions, not vibes?”

**Avoid:** Forcing instant closure or “forgive and forget” when harm or pattern work is unfinished.
