# Skill: Intake

**Purpose:** Onboard a new project — asks 4 questions and generates a filled `CLAUDE.md` with Security Constraints.
**When:** At the start of every new project, before writing any code.
**Output:** Ready `CLAUDE.md` in project root. Not a template — concrete data.

## PROCESS

### Step 0 — Offer preset (one message, before questions)

**If user chose 1–4** → use pre-filled preset below for Tech Stack and CODE CONVENTIONS.
Ask only clarifying questions: **What are we building? What's already done? Constraints?**
Presets don't skip OPERATOR_TOKEN and Phase Plan — always generate those.

**If user chose 5 or no answer** → go to Step 1 (4 questions).

### Step 2 — Wait for answers

Don't generate CLAUDE.md until all 4 answers received.
If answer incomplete — clarify specific question, not all of them.

### Step 3 — Generate CLAUDE.md

Use template below. Fill **all** fields with concrete data from answers.
No empty placeholders — if data missing, write "unknown" or remove section.

**Required:**
- SECURITY — first section, before everything else
- OPERATOR_TOKEN — generate unique 4-word phrase (adjective-noun-noun-number)
- Phase Plan — minimum 3 phases based on project scale

## PLAN.MD TEMPLATE

Generate `plan.md` in the same directory as `CLAUDE.md`.
Format is optimized for machine read/write: YAML frontmatter for metadata,
consistent phase headers for grep, standard checkboxes for task tracking.

Rules:
- Phase header format is STRICT: `## Phase N: Name — STATUS` (STATUS = active/pending/done)
- `**Gate:**` is always the last line of a phase, never a checkbox
- `active_phase` in frontmatter always matches the phase with `— active` in header
- Fill from project answers — no `[brackets]` in final file
