# Candidate Sourcing

Turn a role spec into a shortlist of real candidates worth reaching out to,
ranked by how well they fit.

## When to use

- A new role opens and the top of the funnel is empty.
- A search has stalled and needs fresh, better-targeted candidates.

## Steps

1. **Distill** the spec into the two or three must-have signals.
2. **Search** across sources for people who show those signals.
3. **Qualify** each against the must-haves; drop the near-misses.
4. **Rank** by fit and by how reachable they are.
5. **Note** a personalization hook for each to hand to outreach.
