# Diligence Checklist

Work a deal through a consistent checklist so every investment is judged on the
same evidence.

## When to use

- A deal clears the initial screen and enters diligence.
- Two deals need comparing on the same basis.

## Steps

1. **Team** — track record, gaps, and why this team wins.
2. **Market** — size, timing, and the wedge.
3. **Product** — what works today and the technical moat.
4. **Traction** — the metrics and their quality.
5. **Terms** — the round, the cap table, and the ask.

## Output

A completed diligence checklist with a finding and a confidence level per area,
following the [[Investment thesis]]. Feeds the memo the operator decides on.
